Chocolate Chip Cake Bars

Hey Ladies!

Well I was hanging out with my friend Shenika and we whipped up this recipe that we found on another nestie's blog. I must tell you that these are so good and a quick weekend snack to make. We made a couple of them for some of our friends that came over as well and they loved it. I hope you enjoy making them and eating them just as much as we did. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chip Cake Bars

1 package of yellow cake mix

2 eggs

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup of butter melted

1/4 cup of water

1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Beat on medium speed for two minutes. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in a greased 13 in x 9 in x 2 in. baking pan. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield about 3-1/2 dozen.
